An individual Highlander Badger Heavy Cavalry Officer, including mount. This model is not currently included in a boxed set.

In addition to infantry, some Highlander clans maintain a small bird-mounted cavalry unit, used primarily for patrolling their borders. The riding beast that was developed for the Badgers was not as successful a genetic engineering project as the Highlanders themselves. Commonly referred to as "birds," they are a composite of cormorant and roadrunner genes, with an increase in size to almost ten feet at the top of the head. They make poor harness beasts, are difficult to ride, and generally have a nasty disposition. When properly trained, however, they make excellent military mounts, as their large sharp beaks and powerful rear kick make them very effective in combat. They are ravenous carnivores, and birds that have gone feral will prey on deer, domestic livestock, and pets. Some have even been known to carry off small children.

Off The Wall Armies is a new collection of old figures, improbable and hilarious. Sculpted in 28mm scale, each set features anthropomorphic animal figures - sometimes known as "furries" - with weapons and gear from different historical periods. They're great as the foundation of a "furry" campaign, as high-tech bioroids, or just as weird new encounters for adventurers from any time or place.

The Highlanders are based on the North American badger, with a culture from the 16th through 18th century Scottish Highlands.

This is a single unpackaged, unpainted metal miniature in 28mm scale. It is shipped in a ziplock bag, along with any other miniatures ordered.
